Abu Dhabi- Director-General of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation Ahmed Shabib Al Dhahiri and Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) Peter Ford discussed in Abu Dhabi today, various programmes UNRWA implements in the refugee camps in the occupied Palestine and other countries.

At a meeting held at the Foundation headquarters, Ford briefed Al Dhahiri on the worst conditions the Palestinian refugees are living in the camps and their need to more schools and healthcare facilities.

Al Dhairi said that UAE and its various humanitarian agencies always are keen to help the Palestinians.

The Foundation, which works on the principles and approach laid out by the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will continue to extend the helping hand to the Palestinian people to alleviate their hardships, Al Dhahiri added.
