Our Stance
  • Deportation is not a victory

Author : Dia Ayoub | Readings : 259 | Date : 2011-10-16

In Tuesday night ,who followed the speech of Khaled Masha'al, who acted gladly while telling through that speech the news of the completion of the prisoner exchange deal with the Israeli government, might felt overjoyed, particularly as we are following the daily battle waged by the "empty intestines" of our heroic prisoners in the prisons of the occupation to demand their human rights.

Details of the agreement began to unfold its strings after less than 24 hours of Masha'al's speech which proved that the agreement was just a political maneuver and not primarily an issue of moral or humanitarian obligation towards our prisoners in the prisons of the Israeli occupation.

In 2002, the fire was opened on deceased Arafat from all sides, particularly by Hamas, after his signing the deal of «Church of the Nativity» by which 13 of the Palestinian resistance fighters who were trapped for 40 days in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, exiled to Cyprus and then to Europe, also 26 others were deported from the Palestinian West Bank to Gaza Strip. If the agreement was considered at the time as a legislation to the "transfer" Israeli policy which was based on the Palestinian agreement.

Khaled Masha'al had forgotten in his panoramic distinctive view on TV in front of the Palestinian audiences on Tuesday to remind us of the following facts .. «victory» which he and the leaders of Hamas have the right to be « proud of it»:

1- of the 477 prisoners to be released in the first batch of the Agreement, will be allowed for only 131 of them to return to their homes in West Bank, in a condition to impose restrictions on the movement of half of them.

2- a group of 203 Palestinians from the West Bank, 145 of them to the Gaza Strip and 40 abroad in countries their names are not made public yet.

Numbers and percentages are a disaster in the political tradition and the legislation of the processes of exclusion and deportation of the party who has promoted itself as the last fortress of the defense of Palestinian rights, And we do not know here how someone of Hamas leadership after today will have the right to talk about the maintenance of the rights of the Palestinian refugees and their right to return, in a time they deny it for all our prisoners who spent some of their lives in the prisons of the occupying power in defense of the issues of their people and their right to live on their land, after all of that , Hamas signs the deal for the coming political interests, to deport them.

Pardon Khaled Masha'al ... Deportation of our prisoners is not a victory nor a matter of pride for anyone of us.
